Plan around pipes under the sink

- Measure the clear width, depth and height on each side of the pipes.
- Check whether a pull-out tray can pass the cabinet door and hinges.
- Keep valves and plumbing accessible; do not wedge storage against connections.
Try separate small baskets before a large fitted system. Keep cleaning products in their original labelled packaging and follow storage instructions, including keeping them away from children.

Map the pipes before you choose a system
- Draw two usable rectangles. Empty one side at a time, sketch the drain and valves, then measure the free space on each side. A cabinet width is not the same as a usable organizer width.
- Test the access route. Use a cardboard footprint on the cabinet floor. Open the door and check hinges, the face frame and the path a drawer would take. Keep the shutoff valves reachable.
- Sort by access frequency. Place everyday supplies where you can lift them without moving plumbing. Keep original labels visible and follow each product’s storage instructions.
