Give each item a small landing place
- Name three zones. Assign a spot for what you carry, what you wear now, and what needs to go back out. Start with a tray or basket already in the home.
- Keep a clear route. Measure the narrowest walking space with the door fully open. Keep bags, bins and shoes out of the opening and exit route.
- Set a capacity limit. Keep current shoes and daily accessories here. Return seasonal extras to the closet and empty the outgoing basket regularly.
