Use the existing closet structure deliberately
- Inventory the rail and shelves. Separate hanging clothing from folded items. Check what the existing structure can support before adding a suspended organizer.
- Measure the hanging envelope. Record available rail width and distance to the floor or lower shelf. Include hooks in overall height and allow adjacent hangers to move.
- Keep changes reversible. Start with removable baskets or compatible hanging storage. Follow the lease and maker’s instructions; no-drill does not mean every surface or structure is suitable.
